For 5 years Research & Development Enterprise of MADESTA has been searching for technologies and construction designs to allow more effective usage of wind power.

More than 30 models were manufactured and tested, thousands of experiments were held. The Result is a unique know-how - tower wind turbine (TWT). Download presentation (1,7 mB)

Results of the field tests of the tower type turbine production prototype confirmed results of the laboratory tests. The know-how is confirmed by 12 patents, international patenting is in progress.

Advantages of the tower wind turbine in comparison with WTG of conventional design:

• 2 times lower wind initial velocity and rated speed;
• 5 times higher gaining of energy from wind stream area unit in comparison with WTG of conventional design;
• Utilization factor of installed equipment – 0.6…0.7;
• High efficiency of the TWT in areas with low annual average wind speeds (3…5 m/s) – conventional wind energy generation is not feasible under such conditions;
• Area of allotted land per unit of rated capacity of the TWT is the smallest among all types of generation;
• There is no any vibration impact;
• Noise and sound effects caused by working generator and rotating blades of the TWT are much lower in comparison with conventional WTG;

Our vision of TWT production and sales model by an example of the US market is introduced in the business idea presentation.

At the moment we are searching for partners in small wind energy sector to establish joint venture for mastering industrial production of tower wind turbines with capacity of up to 10 kW and sales in regional markets.
